πŸ’‘ Building at the speed of thought!

πŸ•‘ 2 min Read

Remember my last email a week ago? I said I'd been working on something secretly, and that I'd reveal it on April 1st.

Well, on Wednesday I went public. On LinkedIn. Heart racing and all. (this is the second post)

Here it is: I'm building an entire course platform. Not with a development team. Not with an agency. In conversation with an AI called Claude Code. I talk, it builds. I decide, it executes. I review, it deploys. That's the foundation. And there's more.

I'm a leadership coach with 2,000+ hours of experience and very limited coding background. But I'm a crazy systems thinker. I have what some people call 'figure-it-out ability'. And as a good friend of mine shared, I'm a perfect example of what can happen if you give someone who is generally capable an enormous tool. It magnifies what's possible.

12 days in, I have a working (mock!) storefront with (fake!) products, a public roadmap with a daily blog, an (extra!) newsletter, and a full design mock-up of the platform. My plan is to go live in June, with actual products my clients and fans can buy. A dream come true on multiple levels. A way to channel my ideas and reach far more people with things I feel modern workplaces really need.

Two things make this effort different:

#1 Not only the content is built with the support of AI, but the PLATFORM ITSELF.

This creates enormous speed and flexibility. All through conversation, yet in a very structured, methodical way.

What does a typical day look like?

I go for a run in the afternoon and dictate ideas into my phone for 15 minutes. About a feature I want to build, about the message I want to carry in that day's blog entry. When I get home, I paste that brain dump into Claude Code, we go back and forth, and by the evening the blog is written, the site is updated, and subscribers get an email. A new product? From idea to live in a day, not a month.

And here's the part that surprised me most.

The AI lessons that keep hitting me are always coaching lessons in disguise. On Day 11, I caught myself asking Claude "Do you understand?" after giving it instructions. It confidently said "yes." The output came back slightly off.

Sound familiar?

It's the exact thing I warn leaders about in every delegation workshop. "Do you understand?" is a parrot question. You always get yes. So I changed my approach: "Ask me 10 clarifying questions before you start." The difference was instant.

Better questions lead to better output. That's true whether you're working with AI or leading a team of ten.

#2 I decided to be completely 'naked' and transparent about the entire process.

I share my daily progress. Where I stalled, where I succeeded, where I failed. I'm posting almost daily on LinkedIn, and there's an extended version on a dedicated blog. I'm not running it through this newsletter because it might be overwhelming.

But if you want to follow along, the link is below.

As coaches and leaders, we tell people to experiment. To try new things. To be vulnerable. How often do we actually do it ourselves? This is my version of walking that talk. It's scary. I might fail. But you either get the results you want or the learnings you need.

The truth is, there's no one who has figured out anything of this. It's in the land of amazing opportunities right now. And this is my way to experiment, and I hope to ignite learning and excitement for what's possible now with these amazing tools.

And I believe this is where work is heading. If a coach with no deep coding background, but with lots of energy and a learning attitude, can build a platform through conversation, imagine what becomes possible for your teams, your clients, your organization.

The barrier to creating just dropped massively. The bottleneck is your imagination, your energy, and your general skills.

I'm documenting the entire journey at intellicoachcourses.com, wins and failures alike. You can subscribe to daily build updates right on that page. I'd love to have you along for the ride. :)

Let me know your feedback!
