You heard this before:
"Don't just SIT there, DO something!"
A Leader Coach will also like this a lot:
"Don't just DO something, SIT there!"
🙂
The first statement values any movement over stillness.
It kick us into gear, overcome inertia, makes us move somewhere.
It helps us perform.
The second statement values stillness over movement.
It invites us to reflect, learn, choose the right direction.
It helps us grow.
I think a Leader Coach needs to alternate between both to make lasting progress.
Growth without performance is learning without application. What a waste.
Performance without growth is stagnation. What a waste, too.
So, when you sit for too long, get moving!
And when you move too much, take a moment to stand still and look around.
