My very first podcast episode focuses on what I love the most: Getting Leaders to Coach more.

I have spent a lot of time in the last few years teaching Coaching skills to Leaders. What has begun as a welcome side activity has turned out to become the most meaningful type of work in my career so far. I am excited to use this podcast as a way to share all the small and big learnings from my past few years of interacting with Leaders across the globe.

In this podcast episode, I share especially about two main findings over these 2 years:

1. The fact that teaching coaching has helped me personally improve my own coaching tremendously. As they say…you really understand your skill the moment you try to teach it to someone else.

2. I have learned to appreciate the challenges, pains, struggles of fast-paced Leaders. For them, Coaching must feel like a slo-mo way of interacting. However, I have seen first hand how Leaders transformed (and accelerated!) their impact with their team members by focusing on delivering their Leadership in a focused Coaching Style. The most interesting thing: Very few Leaders (from junior to senior) had actually coached their team members before. What most people did was to deliver a artful combination of advise and mentoring. An impacting degree Coaching training opened up a new world for them.
