This time we ask the question βWhat will make this conversation useful to you?β. It is a simple, yet powerful way to help to direct and to sharpen the focus of the conversation we are about to have. It is also a great way to hand over ownership and trust to the other person to tell us what they have in mind.
Counterintuitively maybe, asking this question becomes more useful, the less time we have for a conversation. Value is in the eye of the receiver, and it is important that we give focus on that.
