Here’s a question I regularly got over the years from Leaders who learn to coach:
“Maik, there is a real challenge here for me. I have a hard time staying out of solving mode. My team members/clients just go in the wrong direction so many times, and then I just have to step in and tell them. What should I do?”
I find this such an interesting question and example of how we grow as a coach. In my view, it is also deeply related to the concept of the ‘coaching mindset’. The way to ‘solve’ this challenge might surprise you!
