↗️ It's good to know what triggers you!

Have you you felt confused when someone explodes emotionally in your face ‘completely out of nowhere’? Well, in my opinion: it’s never out of nowhere.
In fact, it’s very likely that one of these 5 triggers played a role
(alone or even in combination):
1️⃣ A certain location.
2️⃣ A certain time.
3️⃣ A certain emotional state.
4️⃣ A certain preceding action.
5️⃣ A certain person.
The simple coach-like question to ask after an emotional outburst is:
“What happened before this started?” (as opposed to ‘Why did this happen?’ or even ‘Who started this?’, which are quite judgmental)
Lots of productive, practical understanding can come from this!
When you know what your triggers are, you have something to work with, ideally to turn involuntary reaction into intenentional response. It's hard. And it's worth it.
