πŸ’‘ \"Lightbulb Moments\" - Speed comes from focus, not talking faster

πŸ•‘ 1 min Read

The longer podcast 'winter' break is over and I just started another season of episodes for the Coaching Leader Podcast! ➑️ www.intellicoach.com/podcast

In the latest episode 109 (released 2 days ago!) I start by asking: "What’s the point of driving fast on a long detour?" The most unproductive coaching involves fast speaking in the wrong direction.

More inexperienced coaches will just speed up during their coaching in the hope to accelerate progress...often sending us on that racing detour. However, the true 'speed' in coaching (i.e. getting results faster) comes from FOCUS.

In this episode, I share 3 simple ways to get to results in a conversation faster:

πŸ”Ή Establish clear conversation agreements

πŸ”Ή Avoiding unnecessarily extra detours (like asking what people have tried before)

πŸ”Ή Invite conciseness rather than extensive talk

Want to hear more? I recorded this podcast because it’s such a common theme among my clients and in my professional coaching skills courses and I share quite a few examples how to do this well!

Have a great, focused week ahead!
